Leah Titcomb, Founder of Forever Wild Yoga, Certified Yoga Instructor, E-RYT-200, a Yoga Continuing Education Provider and Master Reiki Practitioner, loves the outdoors and grounds her yoga practice in elements of nature and aromatherapy. Watch her introduction video here. She first came to yoga looking for a way to stay flexible and strong, but soon found that there was more going on than the physical elements of the practice and began connecting with the spiritual practice as well. While practicing yoga she felt a similar sense of happiness as when she was in the wilderness and decided to combine her wilderness guiding expertise with yoga.

Leah is a Registered Maine Guide, Naturalist, and Educator who has been guiding professionally since 2003 throughout the US and abroad. She is medically trained as a certified Wilderness First Responder with twenty years of experience managing and running backcountry expeditions. She has led extended wilderness trips, taught natural history and led technical outdoor leadership trainings.

Her passion is being in nature while practicing yoga and identifying birds. She brings a sense of lighthearted playfulness to class and enjoys moments of still concentration as well as the ability to laugh at oneself.

Nikki Griffin, Certified Aerial Yoga Teacher, Nikki first discovered aerial in 2018 and immediately noticed how the hammock allowed her to surrender into each pose and fully immerse herself into her practice. She particularly loves inversions, as they bring a playful element while offering a new perspective. Nikki works as a special educator and is excited to bring her passion for teaching into the studio. In her free time Nikki enjoys paddleboarding, reading, and frolicking in nature.

Sue Henshall, Certified Yoga Instructor, RYT-500, Sue attended her first yoga class in 2001 after years of running and never turned back. She appreciates the “aha” moments that her own practice brings to the mat and also to life’s every day challenges. She teaches a strong, slow vinyasa, based on healthy functional alignment, connecting movement with intentional breath. She believes that yoga is a way to create and maintain range of motion and strength, and a way to bring a sense of clarity in the mind and ease in the body to actively and dynamically move through our daily lives.

Alex McCown, Certified Yoga Instructor, RYT 200, When Alex started practicing yoga she found she was able to live with more consciousness and gratitude. Free of competition (after being immersed in sports), the physical practice of yoga allowed Alex to leave ego behind and be compassionate with her body and mind. Alex brings fun, exploratory movement practices to her classes, helping others to settle down and sync up with their natural nourishing rhythms. When she is not at the yoga studio, you can find her working at the New England Animal Farm Sanctuary or playing outside with her dog.

Kate Wallace, Certified Yoga Instructor, RYT-200. After a decade of practice, Kate was inspired by the shifts that yoga created in her life and decided she wanted to share and teach yoga to others. Her goal is to meet people where they are and to facilitate an experience that is expansive and informative. Yoga is the thread that ties together Kate’s wild and seasonal pursuits. Off the mat, Kate teaches permaculture design courses, coordinates a job training program for farm workers, grows food and medicinal herbs, and bakes countless loaves of sourdough bread for her family and friends.

Kara Sprague, Certified Yoga Teacher, RYT-200, Kara believes that yoga provides a connection to self and others. Kara has received training in best practices for trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness, as well as exploring yoga through an Ayurvedic perspective. As a well-traveled yogi, Kara understands the physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits that a regular yoga practice can provide adults and children. Kara loves Maine, yoga, traveling, kayaking, hiking, biking, and anything involving the outdoors!

Grace Bedard, Certified Yoga Instructor, E-RYT-500, and a Yoga Continuing Education Provider with specific continued education in Restorative Yoga. Grace is a doctor of physical therapy, yoga instructor, certified lymphedema therapist and former contemporary dancer. All of that summarizes a life spent studying movement as well as the neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems. She has also independently studied Ayurveda and works to respectfully integrate this sister science of yoga to inform her class offerings. As the owner of Grace, ME yoga, Grace offers online based yoga courses for teachers and students, private instruction and digital products. She loves practicing yoga at home with her pets, walking, gardening, dancing, and spending time with family.
