Welcome to Forever Wild Yoga & Wellness
Forever Wild Yoga & Wellness was founded on the philosophy that physical, energetic and emotional wellness are deeply connected, rooted in nature and grounded in movement. Our yoga classes, outdoor retreats, and wellness workshops reflect our commitment to helping our community center and align themselves and their nervous system in a world that often encourages stress and disconnection from ourselves and the natural world.
Everything is made of energy. What we do physically, we also do energetically. By taking a physical shape and inviting more movement and flow into our physical body we also help to invite more emotional and energetic flexibility. Forever Wild is a nature-based wellness practice that fosters connection to the physical and energetic body and the outdoors through retreats and aerial yoga.
We help people reground in nature and listen to their inner voice while feeling the wind on their skin and listening to the birds around them. We offer practices and workshop that help to shift energetic blocks and help people squash stress and get grounded. When we pay attention and give back to ourselves we are able to more fully give to others. When we nourish our body, mind and spirit, we can then more deeply appreciate those around us and the earth we live on. Come laugh, fly and play with us to invite lightness and flow into your body!
The stress of the world is testing us all right now. But we have a choice, rise up and awaken to new tools and thrive—or stay stuck. Our old ways of doing things aren’t working, change is happening whether we want it to or not and we need to be equipped to deal with the stress of change in order to thrive.
Hi, I’m Leah, founder of Forever Wild Yoga & Wellness. I am a registered Maine Guide, and naturalist who has been guiding professionally since 2003. My outdoor adventures have taken me around the world where I have amassed over 20 years of experience managing and leading backcountry expeditions. I am also a certified yoga instructor, E-RYT-500, a Yoga Continuing Education Provider and Master Reiki Practitioner.
My father taught me to light a fire in the pouring rain with only three matches but the real goal was to only use one. My parents were Blue Hill based Maine guides and outdoor enthusiasts (challenges like these were ‘normal.’) I received my Maine Guide License in 2003 and have been guiding people on the rivers and in the mountains of the North East and South West ever since.
With just one match I can light a fire in the pouring rain to keep myself and others warm. With just one match I teach people to be present, to remember what’s really important and to unplug and plug into their bodies and intuition.
I have based Forever Wild Yoga on the intersection of wilderness guiding and yoga. I help my students connect how breath and energy move through the body in different yoga poses to help them feel grounded and find inner strength to move through challenges with more ease and grace.
All are welcome at our classes, workshops, and retreats. Come as you are.
